Freelance writer Eve Kushner (San Francisco Chronicle, East Bay Monthly) has been writing a very promising book entitled Wild Buildings, Wild Lives: How Visionary Architects Think, Create, and Live. Based on extensive interviews, Eve explores the minds eye and “wildly creative” avant-garde work of select architects. These include personal favorite Eugene Tsui, Malcolm Wells, Dan Liebermann, James Wines, Nader Kalili, Steve Badanes & Christopher Alexander. While the book currently lacks a publisher, her monthly column in the Greater Bay Area edition of Builder/Architect magazine provides a fascinating glimpse into what the book may offer. I highly recommend reading these stories, also accessible via the On Building section of her website.
One particular piece I enjoyed and recommend, Part 2 of her column Defying Perspective.
